Kushagra Dixit is a scientist, cryptographer and security researcher who works as a scientist in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Bristol, England in the world-renowned Cryptography Research Group. He also holds a visiting academic position at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which is ranked #1 globally for computer science as well as cyber security. He was the youngest person to lecture at the University of Hyderabad, invited by the director of the university to do so on advanced cryptanalysis techniques.
Apart from these academic positions he also holds the position of Chief Scientist at his multinational 50+ people security research company Xlayer Technologies Pvt. Ltd. with four offices across India and one in the UK that he started while in college for his undergraduate degree in Electronics Engineering.
He serves as the Chief scientist for the UK/India 30+ people strong novel EM security research start-up called EMSEC. He also serves as the Head of R&D and Products for Reperion Pte. which is a Singapore based OT cyber security company and serves on the board of various other multi-million dollar companies in India, Singapore, UK and the US.
Apart from this he holds various academic as well as industrial research positions
and has a background of working in and for various defence and intelligence organisations including Indian Navy, India Army, DOD, US Army, DRDO, ISRO, Tata Aerospace and Defence etc.
He enjoys diving and swimming in his free time and has an Advanced Open water diving licence from PADI, is a green belt in Kung Fu and can solve a Rubik’s cube within 20 seconds.
